Hi,

I have recently traded in my sony vegas for PD 10, and i thought that i had finally found a reliable program to render my gameplay videos with; however it seems i spoke too soon.

I make videos ranging from 20 - 60 minutes long, and i am rendering full HD. Trying to render in full HD caused my computer to shut down every time, but having encountered this problem before i knew that my machine was just overheating, and i just needed to clean my fans and the problem would be resolved. I was correct.

The problem i am facing is that i was to produce full HD content (1920 x 1080) in .wmv format; however everytime im approaching the 10% mark whilst rendering, i get the awesomely helpful error message "Error making movie". Now while im not making this post to rag on this program, from a useability stand point that fails as an error message; because it doesnt tell me anything about what went wrong. So i must turn to you the community; having look at other posts of this nature and found no helpful information i made this post. So does anyone have any ideas as to the problem? all responses are appreciated.

May i also note that the program renders full HD video content fine in the AVC HD format, and at considerably faster speed; however the file size is a little on the large side, so id rather have wmv.

Despite my belief that this is not a hardware issue, but rather a simple problem (since it can render in other formats.) i will attach my dxdiag anyway.
