Welcome to the forum

Youtube has loads of streetscapes, landscapes and famous places videos. All you need is a Youtube download tool.

Google it to see which one suits you the best.

Further to this thread, when looking through 'free' video backgrounds, such as the type usable for video menus, or title pages etc, is there a certain file type that I should be looking for?? Or any type that should be avoided? I see a lot on you tube but don't know how to download them or even if they're suitable.

A lot of things happen in the space of a year or two. I would suggest to use the other sites rather than You Tube to download the scenes.

Read this about You Tube downloader. If you decide to download and use it, Do not download from the big green button. Use th small blue text below the green button. Remember to opt out of the agreement at the top of the agreement page.

Do you happen to have FireFox browser on your computer? There is an add-on for that that works well. That is what I use.

Almost anything will work as long as it ends up as a supported video file type. If there is a lot of audio, youi will have to decide what you want to hear.

Search for "YoutubeDownloaderHD"
It is free and one of the best download tools for Youtube videos.
