Transition Problem
[Post New]
I have 2 video clips and when I insert a FADE transition, the second video clip freezes for a split of a second.

See video http://www.wupload.com/file/2618464667

I cannot understand why.

David,

I am taking a guess here, but I would have to say that you are using 'Cross Transitions'.

What you are seeing was/is a problem in PD9 and probably here in PD10.

I, myself, prefer to use the 'Overlap Transition' when I use a transition. No skip or hesitation noticed with the overlap.

The problem with OVERLAY transitions is that when applying them the video track moves while the other tracks do not (even though all tracks are linked in the editing preferences) and have a synchronized audio problem when audio is separated from video. Power Director 13 LIVE 13.0.2104.0 64 Bit

David-
I just completed a video and encountered this same problem. It consisted of stills that I had panned and zoomed. When I applied the cross transition, the next clip paused for a split second, then continued. Looked like a mistake with each clip! When I tried the overlap fade, I think what is happening is that the same fade is applied, but the second clip is tucked under the first causing all the clips after it to shift to the left. The only way I've found to overcome it is to readjust every clip that follows. A royal pain in the you know what at best. Let me know if you came up with another solution since your last post!
