Capturing NTSC Files

I have captured NTSC files from NTSC Camcorder and PAL files from another PAL camcorder. In editing stage, the NTSC files have flickering picture due to different frame rate. When rendering the file even though the settings are to PAL, the NTSC files still flicker.

Hi David,
Switch to NTSC for everything. You'd be better off. I'm going to presume you're editing HD files 1920x1080. My comments would be different if you are editing SD files.

When I mix formats I opt for NTSC. I previously thought the data wouldn't matter whether the video was split 25, or 29.97 fps. However it does matter at the rendering/production stage and the flickering is a problem avoided.
