This has happened many times to me also. I save after every edit. I named my current file "Volume2.1" when I got up to Volume2.9 I got the "broken file" message. Then Volume2.8 was also broken but it had worked before my last edit.

I will be working with notepad as I have done this before. However, I am wondering why I bought this program. Does anyone know of a better program to use?

The only reliable help I have gotten is in this forum. I would rate tech support has very bad. On a similar file problem they suggested that I get a new video card.

Good Luck to everyone.

Hi Spoken,
I e-mailed tech support and they told me that pretty much that I had to start over...

but know way was I going to start over, I had way to much time into that file, I was ready to throw away the Cyberlink software and buy something else...... But I kept looking around on my PC and I found another file that had the same name as the one that got corrupted, it was The Master.pds.bat and I took off the .bat on that file and then double click it and Cyberlink open up and BAM my file was back and I could work on it once again.

And trust me I have about 5 other copies of that file now.

I hope this helps everyone that has this FN problem

It is a pds.bak file you're looking for.

I'd also suggest you get the latest PD and not rely on such an old editor which compared to what most of us use is out of date.

PD8 has Auto save and provides a continuous back up every 10 minutes.

In future, don't attempt to overwrite a pds, opt for File > Save Project as and save a NEW pds each time and identify each with a numerical naming structure.
poject001.pds, project002.pds.
