I know it's not a media player, but how the hell are you meant to make cuts on the beat of music etc, if you can't preview it properly?

Reduce your preview quality and/or use shadow files. These are both made available for those who are not able to afford the most expensive desktop workstation (which certainly includes me). Regards,

How did you convert to Cineform AVI?

What happened when you tried Magic+PD? I edit 4k on a core i5 with Intel Graphics 4600(no GPU card) using Magic+PD. Yours has Intel Graphics which is more powerful.
