Hello, Tony!
I might've been a bit too hasty in the Cheers department(no offence) but after several attempts to create a transparent background PNG file for an icon(cartoon steam loco, currently a bitmap image), I'm no closer now to creating such than I was
before I downloaded and installed Paint.Net. Am I missing something here? Do I need to start with an image file that is already PNG?
What am I doing wrong? Maybe I should just give up and stick with Bitmaps, chroma-keying out the white background like I've always done. This PNG process really is infuriating me!
Neil.
Update:- Just successfully downloaded and installed GIMP and will give it a whirl to see if it's easier to use and get the result I'm after. Will keep you "posted"(ha-ha).
