Remove Quicktime - How would this impact PD?

I've deleted QT and done a couple of tests and given the way that I use PD (I make changes to audio 'outside' PD) everything is as normal. Just makes me wonder how much dross I've got on my machine that doesn't have to be there.

I second that Longedge... I have 'seen' an old Pinnacle file on here for a while.. just deleted it recently and everything 'seems' to be fine in PD. ( I thought it was a 'shared' file between the two editors)
