Hi Neil,

Well I've committed. I've purchased and am just downloading the first package now. I'm going to put it on my new iMac and then decide what to do next. The current offer ends today. Being new to CL I don't know if it's a regular or one time offer but I didn't want to chance missing it. Plus there's the extra 10% discount from CL membership.

Hi Wallace,

I'll soon be in the same boat as you with my laptop sitting there saying, "Hey what about me?"

Hi, TonyL

After you've done an edit or two on PD14, PM me and let me know what you think of it. I only ordered(and paid for) my PD14 Ultra this past Monday(12/10/2015) and I expect it to be in store, waiting for me to collect it, either next Monday(19/10/2015) or the following Monday(26/10/2015). I'll know when the store notifies me by phone. In the meantime, I'm still using PD8 Ultra.

Yeah, going from PD8 to PD14 will be a quantum leap forward! I've been following a thread on the "Power Director(Previous Versions)" forum asking if two different Power Director versions can be run on one computer, I await my chance to put that idea to the test.

Cheers!

Neil.

Hi Neil,

OK, will do. I'm still downloading it. 13 downloads in all.

I need to do a new 'brand' video, you know like 20th Century Fox, etc. so that will be a good project to check out a few things.

Hi Wallace,

If you were concerned about missing the offer that ended yesterday I can understand. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll have forgotten you had to buy it twice and will just be enjoying the flexibility of having it on two PCs.

Cheers both,

TonyL

Hi, TonyL

You're downloading from the net? Geez! If I did it that way, I'd blow my current allotment of 4Gb every 45 days(pre-paid) plus any spare gigabytes that had "rolled over" from my last few top-ups with Virgin Broadband. Nah, I bought the boxed installation kit. No gigabytes need to be sacrificed there!

Your "Brand" Video? Is this the first-play you drop into your DVDs?(or Blu-Rays if you' have that facility).

Chyeers!

Had no choice, Neil.

PD14 boxed isn't yet available so had to download from CL which had until yesterday package of PD14, Audio Director 6 and 10 pro audio tracks at 50% off .

I have unlimited downloads with my Plusnet phone & bb package. The total CL download was 5.75GB incl. the User Guide & Tutorial book.

To avoid going off topic, I've pm'd you re my 'brand' video.

Here's looking at you, kid.

Hi, TonyL

I ordered and paid for a boxed version of PD14 Ultra last Monday(12th October), paying(in Australian money)$119.96. I'd seen it from another supplier quoted at $139.00 thereabouts, so I've saved roughly 20 bucks on the purchase. I ordered the programme software through a store near where I live, a "Harvey Norman" store, the one here in Salamander Bay(part of Port Stephens area) is a consumer electrical store while the wider chain of Harvey Norman stores also deal in furniture and other goods. The joke in Australia these days is that people have started calling the chain "Hardly Normal" and they've picked up on it and used it in one of their recent TV ads, so they were in on the joke, as it were. I expect to be able to pick up my PD14 Ultra either next Monday(19th October), or, at latest, the Monday after(26th October). I'll be notified by phone of its arrival.

Cheers!

I just saw something curious. The marker against this thread on the forum threads list was (sort of)pulsating. I thought it might indicate an incoming post, but when I opened the thread, nothing new came up.

Hmmmm.....! What does it all mean?

Cheers!

Hmm indeed. Could they be watching?

I think the bottom of the list may shed some light on the mystery.

I have Just purchased PD14 Ultimate Great Value for under £50 . I should have puchased the backup disk at the time but didn't

This is the best program I have used AndI have been making films for 60 years, things have changed. Is it legal to bring down another version, as long as the license code is kept secret. Peter82
