Excellent !! And that is one of the bitrates that DOES NOT work in PD11, so this can be sent to Cyberlink along with others who have had this mp3 issue.

One thing I find very odd is the size of that file for such a short duration. I wonder if anyone has any ideas. Intel Core i7 3770K 3.6 Ghz,
GTX 680, 2 X Benq23 3D monitors,
6G DDR3, Win 7 64, Win 10 (Insider) 64
PCIE SSD, Intel Sata SSD 2 500 Gbyte Seagate,
Minoru 3D WebCam, NVIDIA 3D Vision-Ready

Hi kingsmeadow -

That has not been my observation. Since problems with MP3s in PD first emerged, I've been (on & off) testing MP3 files in PD to try to see some kind of pattern in what works & what doesn't.

I've tested hundreds of the things with a variety of bitrates, bitrate modes, writing libraries & every variable I suspect might be a problem. I've found no pattern.

Attached is an MP3 file with a bitrate of 320kbps. It imports fine into PD & plays correctly (here). We have learnt before that what works for one user may not work for another. It's been a very difficult thing to track down.

I suspect, in xperiaX8's case, it may be something to do with the Winamp 5.3/LAME 3.97 writing library... but I don't have the file to test.

File size? Just checked a number of 320Kbps MP3s and the 3 minute ones are all in the 7MB+ range. The same files converted to 160Kbps are less than 4MB.

I hope, one day, someone comes up with a definitive answer. I've failed thus far.

Cheers - Tony
