Quote: I used this product (Power Director 10 Ultra) for the trial period and loved it. When I purchased it I bought the CD because my download time is very bad. I have installed it and the magic motion is missing. It is simply a blank screen where it used to be templates. There are three buttons there... "Reset"..."Motion Designer"..."Apply to All"... but none of these work. There are no templates in the screen where there were on the trial version.

It has been asserted that this PC (Rebecca's) is the cause of the installation issue, with the implication that it is not powerful enough to run PD. That may be the case, but it's unrelated to the question. The question points to an installation issue - not a function issue.

Rebecca used the trial version happily, complete with its motion templates, according to her initial post. If the trial version installed correctly (& ran successfully), the full purchased version should too.

Clearly, the installer files (from the disc) are OK. PD10 installed correctly & completely on her other (older) PC. Clearly, the installer files would work properly on a new PC. That would not resolve this issue.

It's a perplexing problem. None of us - nor tech support - has been able to resolve it.

Cheers - Tony

Hi Tony,
I don't want to highlight the deficiencies of the laptop. I feel that would be unfair on Rebecca at this time. The installation of a larger program could trigger the problem. In which case the installation issue does become a PC deficiency issue. The problem for us here is we're guessing and both of us can be wrong.
