Hey Guys, Look on the bright side, biblically speaking, maybe this is the Garden of Eden where we can all start again?

Alternatively and more scientifically, following from a previous post on quantum mechanics - long forgotten - actually on the DZ forum (therefore never to be found again) maybe this is a portal to a parallel universe.

Alternatively and more prosaically, it's probably just bad implementation of a simple task, quelle surprise.

My name is not Anonymous, I'm Spartacus (from the 1960 film) (aka Adrian) (sorry, thought I should make that clear - just to cover all bases)

Current issues aside, I like the improvements.

I assume you include these issues as 6 of the current issues to put aside…
1) The fact that most all our past posts appear to be gone?
2) The fact that a vast and valuable library of past posts and information is now apparently gone?
3) The fact that some members had written up some very useful and detailed answers and explanations to frequently asked questioned, that can no longer be found as there is no longer a Search feature?
4) The fact that anyone can post anything without even having to log in, or have an account, thus no accountability for their behavior on the forum.
5) That fact that all unregistered posters have the Anonymous users name, so one doesn’t know who is who?
6) The fact that everyone is Senior Member now, even with only 2 posts to their credit (which may have been fixed now)

But what are the top 6 improvements you like? What are the improvements I’m missing and that I haven’t found yet?

And my signature has changed.

And I receive email updates on posts I have not commented on!

What's going on?

Friends, Romans, Countrymen & Spartacus -

1. It'll all work itself out in the fullness of time.
2. The DZ forum & the PD forum are now "Powered by JForum 2.1.8 © JForum Team", where they used to be powered by different versions (2.1.6 & 2.1.7, I think)
3. I love it when Cranston and that Spartacus guy take flight at the same time... that's the kind of power needed to drive JForum!
4. I used to be able to edit out my typos here without anyone knowing... now everyone knows it's been edited 14 times.
5. OMG! tHE most recent posts go to the top!!!

Cheers - Tony

Hi everyone,
OK, I've reported all the issues so far spotted, mentioned here and a good number of others.

I've sent in a report.

Neil mentioned the notification emails. I'm receiving notifications on Anonymous posts being made but not on answers to threads I've contributed to.

Some of the points made by Carsten have been fixed - or previously reported and being worked on.

The lack of a Search capability is of a concern to us all just as the lost/past posts are. I'm monitoring everyone's comments and welcome your observations. I find them a great help in getting issues resolved.

Hi Dafydd

Have you moved from sunny Wales?

According to your profile your location is now Chebeague Island! Isn't that Kev's place?

I think the word "near" is a comparative term in this context, I suppose he is nearer Kevin than he is to Robert in Oz. Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. (see below)

Ha ha,
I know... let me guess, you're saving up for an expensive underwater camera case with flash and everything, like the one you got off Ebay for a "single figure sum"

Search - information update.

The default search function in the forum script has a problem and would have caused a system crash. To circumvent this issue a different (google's) search engine with specific targeted address is being readied. It will take a week (to 10 days) at least according to the reports I've been given.

A number of issues raised will also be fixed tomorrow.
Anonymous posting and User name changing.
