Hi
Just about to buy my dream HD video camera.(Panasonic SD900)
From what Ive read the AVCH files can be edited ok in PD 8.

Any hints / warnings b4 I make this purchase?
I have i7 system with plenty ram and SSD so hardware is no problem.

Thanks
Dave

Hi davos,

I'm not a techie.
But until they chime in, you might use the Search feature above, and enter... SSD ...in the search box.
Or click HERE .

Thanks Cranston.
I have looked at posts and though I am successfully editing in PD8 at moment I realise the Mpeg2 s I am editing are of a much smaller resolution and bitrate than the avchds I will import from the Panasonic SD900.

Was wondering if I could move temp files onto my other internal drive (1TB) but PD8 doesnt seem to have this option??????

Hi Davos,

I'll leave that one to the DxDiag Crew.

I've never really had any major problems with getting any version of PD to "run" on my rig(s). So I try to limit my forum participation to the "how to's" of using the many features available in PD's editing and produce modules. And leave the tech stuff, to those who have an acumen for advising on the technical facets of PD.

Unfortunately, as this is the PD8 forum and the current version is PD10, you may find that there isn't a lot of traffic here these days. But hopefully someone with tech type tips, will chime in with some assistance.
