Produce custom profiles apply also to DVD burn?

On the Produce tab, settings can be changed for the 8 different formats available. If I change the fields to Progressive for MPEG2, and move the quality slider up to 7 - is that custom profile then used when I go to Create Disc and burn to a DVD folder which uses MPEG2? Or is is that profile only for Producing?

Custom Profiles are for the Produce section. Disc creation has pretty much fixed parameters. If you select the Mpeg HQ profile then that would be the same for DVD HQ. I hope that made sense.
