hi im just starting to learn trimming its the only thing ive not messed with yet....so ive trimmed a very short say 10 second clip......and i want to re run it a few times in timeline...... maybe 6 or 7 times making a minute of film in a 5 min video

but im having trouble working out, once ive trimmed this small section, i cant drag it back to top media box as a saved little piece, and i cant seem to copy/duplicate it again in the timeline either......... any help to a work around to achieve better manipulation of this segment or what im missing would be much appreciated!

THANKS i love to reminisce!!

Have you tried using the Copy / Paste or Ctrl + C (Copy) Ctrl + V (Paste)
If you break the video timeline, does the past, outside the editing area, then drag to the desired position. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

hi managed to copy paste it to a lower track.....then i just dragged it back up, still not sure if i can save the edited/trimmed section on its own though,

thanks anyway i love to reminisce!!

To save part, only have to leave this in the timeline.

you can copy the trimmed clip to another track and disable the other, so you will save only the active clip in the track.
Will need to cut later, the black part of the video, which has the largest size of your video project.
To disable click track in the eye, it should be red X.

After you have done the above, you have to produce the video. You can't just save it. __________________________________
