I used batch capture function to capture the entire dv tape in PowerDirector 9.
My DV video was recorded in 4:3. The problem is some files were captured in correct aspect 720*576(4:3), some files were captured in incorrect aspect 720*576(16:9).

What is the problem? Can I fix it to always capture in 4:3 ?

Hi,
I sympathise with what's happening to you, I don't think there is a lot that will be done as DV is now a bit redundant in capturing and the module is unlikely to change.

The issue if I recall correctly is caused by the misreading of the format during capture. Are you using a previously used DV tape?

720x576 = 4:3 and 16:9 for DV tape. The video is manipulated on the camera and the tape records to the same frame size.

No, all DV tapes were used for one time.

I'm also evaluating videostudio pro x4 that it can be selected 16:9 or 4:3 profile while capture the DV tape.
