I do not know if I have a problem or whether I just never took notice before.

I am working with Panasonic .mts files 1920X1080i 29.97fps native format. When I produce to this same profile I get a .m2ts file with a frame rate of 29.97fps. Seems right

If I produce the same file to 1920X1080p (which I often do) I get a frame rate of 23.976fps.

Is this normal? All settings in PD are NTSC.

Attached is media info for native video and produced video. Also attaching a 5 second clip.

Thanks for having a look.

Hal

Does not have to be if you want something different, click the Quality Profile Setup and view the details about that profile (1920X1080p) on the Video tab and you will see it is set to 23.976, change if you like.

Thanks Jeff,

I have never wandered into that aspect of the settings before. I guess I have been producing a lot of 23.976fps videos. I just assumed that 1920X1080p was the same frame rate (29.97) that the original was.

Learn something new every day. Have created a custom profile as per your instructions.

Thanks again.

Hal
