Subtitle clarification

Hi,
I am experimenting with The subtitle function in PowerDrirector9 Ultra on a 64bit system,
What I would like to know is the difference between 'Create subtitles for Disc" and the 'Create subtitles imprinted on disc'?
In case 'Create subtitles for disc' how does that display on final projects when the DVD is created?
I hope you understand my question.

The Imprinted option makes it like a tittle, meaning you can;t turn them off. But the Subtitle for disc option is like commercial DVD's where you can put the subtitles on or take them off.
