Whenever I start PD9 I get a message asking if I want To launch RichVideo and that it is not installed on my system. Should it

have been installed with the program, or is this normal behaviour? If I say No to Launch, PD9 won't start up. If I do Launch,

everything seems fine.

Just wondering, as I assumed it would launch automatically.

Thanks.

Hi,
What do you have as your default start up settings?
Is it loading your last project?
In Preferences>Project what have you selected in the check box options?
Have you uninstalled/re-installed PD9.

Looks to be an old answer. Rich Video is associated with SD footage, Dvavi, Mpeg2 capture scene detection.

What clips are you editing?

Hi, and thanks for fast response.

Sorry, where are the startup settings?

Loading last project

Autoload last project, Autosave Project

Yes, I removed PD7 (installed by HP when I bought the

laptop) using Revo Uninstaller. Revo also removed PD9,

hence the re-install!

In this project, all mpeg2 clips.

I notice in Services that there are two Richvideo entries.

One in X86 Program Files (must be left over from PD7

removal), that was set to Auto and I have now disabled it,

and another entry in Program Files (64 bit). That is set to

Auto but stopped, but when I try to start it I get a

message to say it cannot start Richvideo64, error2.
