Sometimes the burn speed of the Disk is too high.

Try reducing the recording speed to to 4X.

Setting is in the Configure drive of the burn module. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Murkir:

If I was you, I would trust Carl. I too have had those errors and reducing the Burn Speed to 4x eliminated the problem. I don't know what is going on "under the hood" but you should give that a try. PD9 is "talking" to the DVD even before it starts burning, and you can't reuse a blank DVD that fails with that error, at least in my experience. PD9 somehow "marks" it even though nothing is visibly burned on the DVD. Use DVD-RW disks until you ascertain if that is the problem to avoid making coasters.

If that doesn't solve your problem try PRODUCEing your movie and see if that will play on Windows Media Player or whatever player you use. If it won't PRODUCE successfully and fails at the 94% mark, then go into your timeline and find out what is at the point that might be causing the problem.

Do a cold boot before you try PRODUCEing. Sometimes, things get "jammed." If you have a laptop, remove the battery for 60 seconds as well. Computers are marvellous beasts when they work.

The other issue might be lack of disk space to create the necessary temporary files for burning. You should have at least 100 GB free on your primary internal hard drive and everything related to your PD9 project should be on the primary hard drive. A dxdiag file might help us to help you to determine if your computer is capable of handling PD9. Many computers are not.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.

Murkir: Then that's your problem - insufficient disk space for PD9 to generate the necessary temporary files to burn a DVD. You will either need a new, larger hard drive or undertake some MAJOR disk cleaning to free up enough space.

Have a great day.
