Importing Individual Photos

Has anyone found an easier way to import individual photos? I don't need to create a new library - all my photos are already sorted and stored in folders. I just want to bring in one photo at a time. The only way I have found to do that is to create a folder and put a copy of the photo in it then import that folder.

Hi Bluebear2,
Not sure if I get this right:
1. Click on the + (Import photos into the library). Select Import Photos...
2. Choose Select Some Photos....
3. "Ctrl" select the photos you want in your sorted folder.

This won't create a new library but only adding your individually selected photos into your library.

Regards,
Brandon

Another easy way is to click the "import" button at bottom left in the "Library" module then clicking "Photos". A Windows dialog box will appear where you can choose a single photo, or multiple photos by using "ctrl" or "shift" keys from your keyboard. The name of the folder where the photo is located on your hard drive will then appear in the "Folders" tab from the "Library" module. http://www.f-stops.net

And yet another easy way, is if you are in the Library module, just drag and drop a photo onto the UI. The Photo Import window will open, where can follow the helpful steps noted above.

Well Doh!

I didn't see the "Select Some Photos" button. Was it there in the beta?

If it was I take back my bad review that I gave!

Thanks Brandon and thanks David and M.B. for your help as well.

I didn't see it in the beta myself. I was glad to see it was much easier than I originally thought. __________________________________
