Hi all. Why is it two programs manufactured by cyberlink ,Media Show 5 and Power director 9 will not talk to each other, and allow files, (Still photos) to be imported into Power Director libary. I have purchased both programs and consider the Media show 5 one of the best still photo program on the market. The same photo in Windows 7 photo libary it will import .Being new at this game am I doing something wrong.

hi Graeme,
Yep you are doing something wrong.

OK, I use MS5 all the time with PD9. I have MS5 open in my right monitor, PD9 in my left monitor. I select/highlight a video or still image in MS5 and drag it into Pd9 - the Library can be displayed or not - the media file will be placed in PD9. Simple and easy - works for me everytime.

Suggestion:
If you only have one monitor, reduce the display interface for MS5 - to a quarter screen size. have it display above PD9 but to one side so you have the Library displayed. use click and drag and the image or video will then be placed in the PD9 library.

Hwyl

Dafydd is correct.....

That routine works with just about everything including in windows explorer. Drag and drop has always been a great thing. I find I do not need to run my graphics viewer as much, I split my monitor with Windows explorer and PD, go into a graphic folder in Windows Explorer with large icon setting so I can see the pics, then just drag the pic/vid over to the PD side and it jumps into PD's library window.

As simple as that.... __________________________________________
