The current release from ATI (11.5) for their graphics cards has a few fixes specifically aimed at PowerDVD issues. Since PD9 uses similar code it may assist some users with their viewing issues. Something to check out. Win 10, i7

Thanks for the "heads up". That's 2 ATI Catalyst package updates in 3 weeks. The hard part for me is understanding if I have the latest drivers installed after doing each update. The Catalyst Install Manager lists each component/driver and none of them are version 11.5.

The SDK Runtime is: version 2.4.595
The Display Driver is: version 8.850
The Vision Engine (whatever that is) is: 2011.0419.2218.38209
Plus another couple of components are installed: WMV9 Media Player and AMD Drag and Drop Transcoding.

I do the Catalyst Update(s) by following the instructions on the AMD/ATI website and the AMD Install Manager says that each one is successful, but none of the versions EVER match the advertised release version number. Reminds me of how some of government regulations are organized. No inherent logic.

Here's a question for those of you who update your Catalyst package regularly... Does the update of the display driver "scramble" your desktop? After each month's update, I have to re-drag each desktop icon back to where I like to keep them.

Sometimes I wonder if these multiple moving parts within the Catalyst package hinder PD9 from operating as it was designed to do, instead of helping it perform better. Has anyone seen PD9 performance changes (good or bad) as a result of keeping your ATI Catalyst package of programs up-to-date??
