Can two audio tracks be played simultaniously?

Can two sounds and music tracks be played together?

Have a birthday party general noise together with the video clips, of course but, also have music track with songs in it.
I'd like to play both tracks while reducing the volume of the background party noise.

The quick answer is, yes you can.

Just add the music to the music track, then adjust the volume of the audio in the main video to suit your needs.

I do this regularly with the hockey videos that I do. I maintain the sound of the crowd (fans) at a lower volume and add music to the music track.
