Look on the left side of Powerdirector user interface, there is a series of Icons, one of those icons is Title room.
Click it.

The default title is one of the first titles, drop the title on the Title track, select it, click modify on top of the timeline.

Edit your title, click OK.

Kylief: If all you want is simple subtitles to identify persons or places, you can also use the Subtitle room, last icon in the "Rooms." It is not as versatile as the Title Room because you can't change the position, but it is "quick and dirty" and I use it a lot.

Have a great day.

Just exactly what PIP are you wanting to add text to?

There are several ways of getting text on the video.
The primary method is to use a Title from the Title room. You can position a title anywhere in the frame.
You can also use a subtitle to put text at the bottom of the frame.

Anytime you have a title in the title track, it always shows on top of the video.

The video can be in any track with a title in the title track. You can insert a title at any point your scrubber is.
Or you can put a color board in track 1 and a title in the title track if you just want a plain color with text.

I suggest that you watch some of the tutorials on PDTOOTS and CyberlinkChannel, both are on Youtube.com.

Carl is correct. But for anyone who may not be aware, you do have the option to place still images on top of titles and text, using the tools in the Title Designer room.

How to instructions, in attached illustration.

Hi,
I tend to look at a title as just a graphic to be added to a project nowadays. a title can be added to any video track and the higher the number the more dominant it is. The Title track dominates.
