If I already have PowerDVD 10 and True theater is there really a reason to purchase PowerDVD 11? I also already have PowerDirector for those movie converts. To me it seems like I already have them all.

Am I wrong here, or is there really a reason to upgrade to PowerDVD 11?

Hi,

I would say yes - but of course depends on your use-case.

some new features:

- Photo Moduel (including TT-3D for Photo)
- BD-folder support in Movie module (classic mode only)
- Device support (use your iPhone or Android phone as RC)

please also check the feature comparison:

I have upgraded to PDVD11. However, frankly I don't see the need after upgrading. Of course there is extra features, but that is only useful if you are utilizing it. In my case, no, I don't use any of the new features; and new features that I am looking for are not implemented.

PDVD strength is on movie playback, PDVD11 improves a bit on subtitle, movie quality wise is the same as PDVD10.
Music playback quality is not very good in PDVD10. PDVD11 has problem with music playback so still cannot compare. Lossless audio file is still not supported. Cyberlink is not focusing on music part.

I have PowerDVD10 and have been trialing PDVD11. For me version 10 stuttered on Bluray movies, but 11 plays them perfectly. In fact, at this time, PDVD11 is the only player that can play Bluray movies without any stutter or breaks, at least on my system. It is good to finally see this fixed. So I will definitely be upgrading.

Lucky you. I can get Blue Ray discs to open, and then nothing happens. I've spent hours dealing with it. It is definitely not worth the money to upgrade to 11. I had Blue Rays working in previous editions, but this program simply sucks for me.
