I'm new to PowerDirector and video production in general. Maybe a dumb question, but, I'm wondering, once I've made a short video, can I output it to a format that I could burn on a DVD, then play in my DVD player to show on my TV?

I assume yes, but didn't see this bit of info. immediately.

Thanks, David

Hi,
A simple answer is yes you can.
A more complex answer is it depends how old you DVD player and TV are and if they accept what you produce. What I am trying to say is that PD9 outputs and is capable of inputing a variety of formats so you may have to experiment with the one that does the best job.

for starters, I would go with mpg-2 with SVRT unclicked or off.

Thanks James and Dave. Both my TV and DVD player are older, but they play all the DVDs I get from Netflix, so that's the "standard" I'd go with.
