preview darker than timeline

First time user and the preview image is darker than the image in the timeline. Tried this same video on another editor and it is the same brightness level in both places.

WMV video, win7 OS 8 gig ram

I reloaded the video again, and it shows normal brightness. So good for now.

If I have other questions what is the diagnostic file?

Curt: Go to START menu, click run, enter "dxdiag" without the quotes. It will run and you will have the option to SAVE. Save the dxdiag file and attach it to your post, using the Attachment button.

It will provide the pros with the information to assess your system's capability to handle PD9. Very many problems result from insufficient computer horsepower, out of date drivers and QuickTime, missing or corrupt codecs, etc.
