Does anyone know if you can import a video file in MPEG4-AVC / H.264 into Power Director 9 and then edit the audio track in Wave Editor?

It should.

Import the video and split/unlink the audofrom it.

Then click on the audio part and select edit in wave editor.

Thanks, for some reason I thought it was posted somewhere on a website that Wave Editor wouldnt' support that format.

Well once I split my MTS files form my Panasonic HD camera, the audio part becomes a WAV file automatically and can be edited in WAV editor.

I assume MTS is the same or similar AVCHD format.

Hi Ralph,

I just checked the Introduction To Creative Movie Making book posted by Niel of Cubbyhouse Films. (You need to download this book). On p. 15, it says that it will import MPEG4-AVC / H.264. Since Wave Editor is a stand alone program which accepts PD9 material, you can be confident that it will edit it also.
