I have a MacBook Pro. I plan on installing Windows 7 via BootCamp if my hardware specs support 3D Blu Ray playback. My specs are 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 Processor with 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Ram and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M Video Card. I plan on playing them on my 3D HDTV via Mini-DVI to HDMI.

Thanks for any help.

Based upon that information and my experience thus far you may be able to do this. But since you will be using BootCamp and I am not familar with this I would definety download the demo and bd advisor before you purchase the software.

PowerDVD 10 Trial

By the way PowerDVD 10 does not officially support Blu Ray or Blu Ray 3D iso images.

Is there any way to know for sure? Or to check with a program for my Mac? Because in order to install Windows 7, I will have to buy Windows 7. I don't want to buy it if I will not be able to play Blu Rays as that is my only reason for buying windows..

For starters you meet some of required specifications and in theory you should be able to at least play Blu Rays with a Blu Ray opitical disk drive. I am not sure if boot camp will interfere in any way.

Actually you should be able to download an ISO image from Microsoft and install it in a 3 day trial I believe. I will see if they still offer that method as it was available during the release candidate phase of testing.

This link is for IT professionals for a 90 trial version of Windows 7 Enterprise.

Otherwise we need another mac book pro user who has done this to chime in on their experience.

Yes. I know for sure I can play regular Blu Ray's because I am able to play m2ts files from Blu Ray's on my Mac with no problems. I will give that link a try. Thanks for your help.

So is this good enough to play 3D Blu Ray ISO's? I have not bought my 3D HDTV yet so that is why it says no 3D display..
