PowerDirector -> PowerProducer

I have been using PowerDirector for about 6 months and just installed PowerProducer and a Blu-ray burner.

How do PowerDirector and PowerProducer work together? Rather than creating a DVD in PowerDirector, do I create a file instead? If so, which do I chose, File or Streaming File? Once I have made the File/Streaming File, what format?

First test: I burned three 1440 x 1080 movie clips straight to Blu-ray disk with Power Producer. Video looked great on the Plasma TV.

Second test: I imported those three clips into PowerDirector, and added some transitions. I tried creating a File using the .mpeg2 button with the (HD) MPEG-2,1080i quality setting. I brought the created file into PowerProducer, burned a Blu-ray disk and it looks pretty BAD on playback on the TV.

I figure there must be a couple hundred different combinations of settings I could experiment with before finally getting it correct, so I thought I'd check with the gurus on the Cyberlink forum.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help,

Brady

Hi Again,

I must have hit the wrong button. I created the file again using the .mpeg2 button with the (HD) MPEG-2,1080i quality setting, and it looks pretty good.

Any suggestions about producing the highest quality HD video file would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
BradyB
