Hi again,
Hope you aren't tiered of all my problems yet.

I've cut out a part from my videoclip and have now two clips that I want to combine.
I mark both clips at the timeline so they are blue.
Then I right-clik to get the menu but the Combine option is not Available.
Screencut enclosed - You dont get the DxDiag this time - you already got it twice.

Cheers, Anja

I could be wrong Anja as I am new to PD. But to split clips and remove unwanted parts and combine them requires recompiling them.

If you split a clip and realize you want the clips back whole, I belive this is when the combine button will appear.

I use Elecard AVCHD Editor to do what you want done.

In PD9:

You can split up the clips, edit out the unwanted, put them to together and produce them and then re-import to your project.

I realized that PD does not process video on the fly so a split clip or video is not actually split until its goes to the produce stage.

This is how I am reading things. Please correct me if Im wrong.

Anja: Dave is right - you can no longer "Combine" once a piece has been removed. "Combine" is only for rejoining two segments together that were originally one - like when you make a mistaken split. Don't worry though - as long as the two clips are abutting, they will play in sequence just fine.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.

-Phil

Hi,
The attached video may help.
Split your clip
Delete the end split section
Position the cursor and click and drag to extend the clip.
This may help you.
thanks
Dafydd

thanks guys,
as English isn't my nature language I must have misunderstood the userguide.
All your respons helped me understanding.

Dafydd,
aren't you one of the tecnical support staff?
I posted a lot of topics here when I thought this was tech support, but a user has made me aware that it is not the case - so how do I get all these posts over in the right forums?

Cheers, Anja

Anja: Dafydd is not CL Tech Support - he is the VERY knowledgeable and helpful Forum Moderator. I sent you a link in my response to another one of your messages to Cyberlink Tech Support. Dafydd does send replicated bug reports to CL Tech Support and he does have connections, but he is not CL Tech Support.

This is a users forum. From what little I know, Cyberlink Technical Support does not monitor or respond to issues reported on this forum. Other PD9 users are the ones who respond, and they are just happy PD users, not employees of Cyberlink and not paid by Cyberlink. Their efforts are purely voluntary to help out other users.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.
