I know this will be very elementary to many of you, but I need some direction on how yall create your screen shot video tutorials. I have 2 questions:

1. All of my projects thus far have been importing photos and videos from outside sources so I'm confused on how you create the videos using the information from the screen. I do have a webcam if that is how it is done but don't know how to use it in this type of project.

2. I know many people saw the youtube christmas video that had several titles but was basically "if Facebook was around when Jesus was born". I'd like to create a story video using the Facebook idea that this video used but don't even know where to start. Are there templates out there that would make this easier? Or do I do some kind of screen capture?

Any advice would be helpful. I'm very familiar with PD and use it often, but I just don't get the concept of how to create these projects.

Thanks,
Cindy R

We use a screen capture program.

I use Microsoft expressions (free but has limitations) and another competing video companies screen capture software. But primarily Microsoft's, because it integrates the audio better if you use it. (voice-over) It has more steps to get to you final video but it is worth it and saves it as a wmv file.

None of them are simple to use,,, there is a learning curve with each of them..
