Update notification?

Having read about a couple of builds newer than what I'm running, I fired up PD9 and checked to see what it thought was available. Nothing showed up on any of the tabs. No upgrades, which makes sense; no updates, which doesn't (unless the later builds are not general release); and no installed packs, even though I got and installed the free "holiday" pack when I got the program.

I'm running 64-bit 2330a. Jerry Schwartz

Do you have the box check-marked in the GENERAL tab of PD9 Preferences to "Automatically Check For Updates"? I have mine checked, but no PD9 update notifications have ever appeared. Although I do get pop-up notifications from the System Tray from time to time urging me to upgrade to specific Cyberlink software bundles. Perhaps you'll have better luck and get PD9 update notifications if you ensure your box is check-marked. Good luck Jerrys!

PD is not going to automatically update for you. The best and normally the only way to look for an update patch is to go here every couple of weeks:

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/support/powerdirector/patches_en_US.html

Besides as soon as one comes out, someone in here will yell at us...

My PD9 tells me there is an update all the time even though I know there is not. AND I have DO NOT CHECK FOR UPDATES selected. __________________________________________

When you are asked to provide a DXDIAG you go the following link and do part "B". Your posted specs are NOT what we are looking for as they tell us nothing. The specs on the box of your computer mean nothing. The DXDIAG shows us how your computer is configured as it runs.

I could swear this all used to work, but perhaps I'm thinking of PD8.

Oh, well. Jerry Schwartz

Hi Jerry

I had the same problem as you - PD8 was great at 'informing' you, but PD9 seems not to do the same. Happing editing

Best Regards
