Hello everyone, hope you can help me out.

Ok here is the deal, i got everything to playback 3D blurays with powerdvd, i use the cyberlink soft to check my system and everything appears as "pass".

I load up pdvd, insert my 3d bluray, hit play and i got a msg saying something like "your 3d system only support fullscreen", i hit ok and there is a flash on the display and stay black. Even more, powerdvd closes with no error msg whatsoever.

I have my ati connected via dvi-hdmi cable. Could this be the problem? Should i use a 1.4 hdmi cable?.

By the way i manually set the option of 3DTV Hdmi 1.4 on pdvd.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Mariano1979

I have a Shuttle XPC with an ATI 5670, Windows 7, PDVD 10mk2 ultra, Onkyo AV Amp and a C8000 Samsung TV.

Initially I had problems with the 3D, below is a small list of things that may help

1) You need PowerDVD 10 Mk 2 ULTRA edition
2) Run the PowerDVD 3D advisor, it will report of any potential problems, goto Cyberlink Site, from the menu Support then advisor
3) Get the latest version of PowerDVD software do not rely on auto update, goto Cyberlink Site, from the menu Support then Software Updates, PowerDVD
4) Leave the 3D setting on PowerDVD to Auto Detect
5) On the Samsung TV, menu, picture options, screen fit (will check this tomorrow)
6) Connect your HDMI cable directly to the TV (even if your amp is HDMI 1.4a)
7) Put your 3D disc into the drive, the full screen message will appear, click ok, at this point my Samsung switches to 1920 x 1080 @24Hz (from 60Hz)
Your Samsung will tell you it's going into 3D mode and to put your glasses on

Also I use HDMI for audio and Video and not DVI->HDMI, perhaps this could be an issue because audio cannot be transported across this connection (unless you are connecting into an Asus HDAV).

Which disc or discs are you trying to play ? I've used Bolt, Christmas Carol, Monsters v Aliens and Up!

From memory there are other things we can try with the setup, oh and I almost forgot, I use AnyDVD HD, it's invaluable!

Thanks Thanks Thanks and THANKS!

I followed all your tips, and VOILA! 3D in all his glory and detected by the TV and all !

Just for the record, i have to play along with the color controls because the image its kind of dark, so a little of tweak on the overlay controls from ati should do the trick.

I bought an HDMI 1.4 certified cable. HDMI-HDMI, i think that made the trick for me, anyway i did every step you told me.

Once again, THANKS!.
