[solved] PDVD10 shows red bar at top after hiding menu, after upgrading to build 2429

I just upgraded to the newest build just released. I can't remember what build I had previously but it didn't have this issue. I get a red bar at the top of where the menu used to be when in full screen. It only happens when I use TruTheater settings but is fine if I use the hardware acceleration. I'm currently using an AMD HD6970. I can get it to temporarily go away by switching to hardware acceleration (AVIVO for AMD) and then back to TruTheater but it always comes back after a few seconds of the top menu bar hiding. Has anyone had this happen?

I'm using build 2429 and yes I double checked to make sure I got the right download for the Ultra, for me.

It does it as a video file or from a DVD.

I had an issue also after installing this update. Mine would "not respond" everytime I started it.

@ImmortalJman12

could you please post some more info about the contect you playback?

I can not see the issue here - so could you also post a snapshot of the red line issue here?

thanks

The first image is what happens to all DVD's, Blu-ray's and video files. This is with all TruTheater options selected.

However, I also discovered that if you turn off the "Enable AMD accelerated parallel processing" feature, then it does fine and no colored bar shows up, as shown in the thumbnail below.

Now, it also does it in Windows Media Center through the PDVD plugin feature as shown below.

I can also get rid of the bar if I select hardware acceleration as shown below.

I realize that these are all screen shots from the same video but I actually discovered the flaw in another video and just happen to have this one in the drive, so I know it's not one movie causing the problem. I didn't have this problem before upgrading and it only appeared after installing the update. It might be a driver issue with AMD since I just deselected the 'Enable AMD accelerated parallel processing' and it worked fine, but then again it still worked fine before the update too. Hope this is enough info.

I have the same problem when TrueTheater effects set in "Auto adjust" or TrueTheater HD enabled and "Enable AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing" is selected.
