Allright, then....

it's the middle of the night in Norway, but I thought I should get this done.
I've made, in a hurry, a "tutorial" of a few basic things in PD9 for newbies to
editing- and PD9. Just about the interface and tracks- nothing fancy or going in to
modifying or keyframing.
I've seen a few posts regarding the tracks, and maybe this "tutorial" could give
some hints to someone.

It's made in a hurry, because I have stuff to do for my work this weekend as well.

You will have to have the link to watch it.
Feel free to give it to whomever you feel could get something out of it.
And, to be clear; English isn't my native language!!

Have a nice weekend !

Nina

Nina....

Cool.... good starter video for us beginners. You showed me a couple things I never tried before.

Another long cold Norwegian night, bored and nothing to do?????

Don't know about the other guys, but I could listen to you talk any time.

Was that music part of the built in PD sound bites?

Is that the lake in front of your house?

What screen capture program are you using?

Hi Bubba,

Thanks for the feedback.
In daylight, I can see the video could be shorter...

Being a teacher, you know, I consider that there are always people that will welcome
something from scratch. Maybe I later will make something that points out what other
buttons in the interface do/make happen.

The lake is the same one!

I will send you a pm, Bubba.
In light of what is happening here over the past 24-48 hours, I'm not comfortable
telling you in public what screen capture I used.
Just something.

It takes a teacher from Norway!

This really is something for all of us to make a note of: calm, focussed and instructive! With all due respect and without any doubt in my mind as to the good intentions, some of the educational videos are everything but educational - like confusing.

So look to Norway and learn.

Thank-you Nina for taking the time to make this informative "How To" video for those of us new to the discipline. I'm glad that people kept posting to this thread and kept it on top of the PD9 forum, or I would have missed this little gem. Please ask the forum moderators to allow you to add this link to the helpful video tutorial "Sticky" at the top of this PD9 forum. Thanks again!

Hi Nina,
Sorry for not posting a comment or even telling you over Skype. I had trouble downloading the other day from YT - too much happening on my set up I think.

Lovely video... you're a skilled editor and a pleasure to know, always willing to share* and provide me with a smile. thank you.

* Nina's cooking videos will have you drooling

Nina is possibly referring to a position taken regarding the discussion of ATI beta drivers on the forum. CL do not want third party/company products (issues or reports) posted on the forum.

The video screen capture software Nina uses is also not one listed on http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/7958.page

Neil, as you know you raised the question on video screen capture a while ago and I gave a run down of some of the programs i use before bringing the footage into PD.

I'm [as the Moderator] comfortable about naming a program but wary on the need to go into an in depth discussion on how and what you do with the product, this is after all a PowerDirector forum.

What's happened to Nina's post?

Looks like a glitch in the forum happened. A member reported something similar on another thread. http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/15590.page#75965

I'll enquire.
