I downloaded the trial version of PowerDirector 9 on my computer and have not been able to use the program. I have tried to install the patch and that did not help either. Any ideas on how to get it working?

Attached are all the documents I sent to cyberlink with my question for technical support, which I have not yet received a reply to.

Make sure you have the latest graphics drivers. Report back if that doesn't help. __________________________________

How do I know which graphic drivers I have? We couldn't figure it out before?

This is the main thing that I am looking at.

Card name: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Driver Name: igdumdx32.dll,igd10umd32.dll
Driver Version: 7.15.0010.1502 (English)

Not sure of the exact graphics card, but the Intel web site shows version 15 available. You may be able to update it using Windows Update, too. Start here.

I tried it and it said it can't update, and to contact my manufacturer.

So I looked on Toshiba's site and it says I have the most up to date drivers.

thanks

I am having the same problem. If anyone could get some information on this I'd appreciate it. According to Toshiba this is the lastest version of the driver for the Moblie Intel 4 chip. I have same version as him and talk to Toshiba tech support.

Here is what I found about the fault .dll file readout

The igd10umd32.dll is a LDDM User Mode Driver for Intel(R) Graphics Technology.

This file is part of Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows Vista(R). Igd10umd32.dll is developed by Intel Corporation. It’s a system and hidden file. Igd10umd32.dll is usually located in the %SYSTEM% sub-folder and its usual size is 2,216,928

I think it points to your video drivers. Also did you try uninstalling PD9, smart sound, photo now with a good uninstaller like CCLeaner or Revo uninstaller, (both free) one that also clears registry entries of the software, and then reinstall it. Some issues are solved by a reinstall. I think most of us have had to do that with one version of PD or another.

I found instructions on the internet on how to install the newer drivers (the automatic installation won''t work).

Download the inf files (a different version of the driver) and then go to the device drivers page and tell it to point to the files from on your hard drive.

You tell it where to look on your hard drive (the place you downloaded the inf files to) and it will install
