Hello,

I was wonderig if anyone has any experience using Carbonite's online backup. Does it slow your system down?
I have 2gb of data, will that take forever to backup online?

I like the idea of having online backup in case of fire, flood, etc, but would love some feedback.

Thanks! Thanks

Really depends on your needs, to my knowledge it only backs up what's on your "internal" hard drive and only 1 drive. So "unlimited" backup is limited. So if your internal drive is able to house all your video, might be an option for you. Speeds will vary heavily depending on your internet connection. My internal drive wouldn't come close to holding my videos, I have a rack of 1TB and 2TB drives and my computer is really only work in progress.

Buy a small flash card, you must mean 200GB, maybe 2TB I don't know.

Sorry I meant 2TB. I have a high speed cox cable internet access. I did not know that Carbonite only backs up whats on your main drive and not the external one. That almost seems to defeat the whole purpose. Does anyone have any experience with Carbonite? Thanks

Hi,
Please stay focused, this is a PowerDirector forum and for matters relating to that software.

Thread closed.
