Hey I have a P4 processor on a pc with no dvd playback support. I have power director and can create the dvds but cant play them back.

I was looking to get powerdvd delux which D suggested that I buy to get the codec so I'd play some sound on some mpeg clips as well as have the ability to play back the dvd's I'd create from the collection of mpeg1 clips.

Thats where I'm coming from. What I'd like to do is make that powerdvd deluxe purchase but I only see a link for Powerdvd Max. I assume I could get the Max product and this is just the new rev of the delux bits?

As a second thought I'd like to buy dvd software that I would be able to use in the future when I get a faster processor that can support high def playback well. With that in mind I'm thinking about getting the powerdvd ULTRA poduct that supports blueray/highdef if they bundle the in the needed codec and essentially the Max or deluxe version.

Comments?

thanks

Hello,

If you will play Blu-ray or HD-DVD in the future, you can try to purchase PDVD Ultra. The PDVD Ultra support all of PDVD7 deluxe function. And PDVD Ultra include Blu-ray and HDDVD playback.
