Due to a technical hitch, which involved a person or persons unknown stealing the whole cross transition thread , I feel it is time to collate the results. Whether this was as a result of deliberate sabotage by the opposing camp, a crude form of censorship by CL or just a "by design" technical failure will never be known. The cross transition results are from a search of the answers not an analysis of the thread.

Personal choices:
Cross transitions = 32
Overlap transitions = 20

General impressions :
It is clear that members would welcome a user defined preference rather than a "forced" default.
It is clear that members would welcome the return of the duration button.
Members would prefer transitions to work properly whatever their choice.

I'll ask Dafydd to forward the results to CL through the appropriate channels and then lock/archive the remaining thread.

Next poll :
Who wants to volunteer to hold their breath whilst CL acts on this information?

Thanks you all for your contributions.
Cheers
Adrian

Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. (see below)

Thanks for this post vn800rider.

I just downloaded version 9 a few weeks ago and started editing some video. I was really struggling with transitions. They don't seem to work nearly as easily as previous versions.

I think your suggestions would be a welcome addition to the product.

There is one other thing I would like to suggest. I frequently end my videos with the fade transition. I can't seem to do this in version 9. I have to put a black color board at the end, and the put the fade between the last video clip and the color board.

It would be nice to allow the addition of transactions at the beginning and end of the video project.

Thanks,
Brady

Hi,

Just thought I'd mention that you can drop the fade transition onto the start or end of a clip & it will fade in or out respectively. Brady, I'm not sure how you did a fade out before in the previous versions without using a black colour board as you mentioned. That's how I have always had to do it until now.

I would also like to see the return of the duration button.

Regards,

Peter
