PowerDirector 8 stopped working

Since today I can no longer use PowerDirector 8 Ultra. When launch the app I get the PowerDirector has stopped working message.
I already de/reinstalled the application twice but this does not help. Do you have any suggestions how to get the app working again?
W7 Ultimate/64bit/8GB Ram

I've had that same problem and I think it might have something to do with a delay of the hard drive that has the project file on it. The second time I open PD it doesn't happen. I have C-OS/Apps, D-Media, E-Project files. Just a thought.
