PowerDirector 9 Ultra64 or Media Suite 9 Ultra, Help me choose
[Post New]
Wondering the difference between the Video Creation in PD9 Ultra64 and Media Suite Ultra,
I was assuming that Media Suite 9 Ultra contained PD9 Ultra64 ??

I want to edit video, and create DVD/Blu-ray
I'm using Winows 7 64-bit, with i7 and GTX285

Should I buy both, or which one?
Sorry I am confused and need to purchase a video editing software,
I have a ton or AVCHD movies that need to be edited and uploaded, as well as dvd, and blu-ray.
They are recorded with a Canon Vixia HF- M30, 1080p FXP

I hope someone can elaborate on what I should buy,
I am downloading the trial versions now, but just needed some influence and direction.

Thank you..

Hi Mr.Scary,

My suggestion is to get the FULL version of Power Director 9 Ultra.

The Media Suite comes with a FULL version of Power Director 8...not a bad choice....but I think you would enjoy PD9....unfortunately you can't run PD8 and PD9 at the same time. The Media Suite is a great value....some of the applications in the suite are older versions....but they still get the job done.

Here is a Copy and paste showing exactly what is included in Media Suite, this is the link to the topic where I got the information:

Thank you very much, that is the info I was looking for.
I really want to take advange of what PD9 has to offer,
64-bit, i7 utilization, and GTX285 GPU utilization.

I used the trial version, and here was I came up with,
these are AVCHD .mts, FXP 17MBPS RAW files converted to MPEG2 1080i 1920x1080
Screen shot. a 24-1/2 minute movie in 15:43 minutes
that's a bit faster then it plays, very good, and my CPU utililzation was only 40% - 53% at 3.35GHZ
across all 8 logical cores / 8 threads, I would like to see 80%, my ram only reached 1.89GB of 6GB
I am impressed...
