Is there any way to control the duration of a particular slide in a slideshow? It doesn't seem to be allowed by any of the templates. Jerry Schwartz

PD9 still does that?

It is a known fact that you can not control the duration in the built-in slide show templates.

You can control the duration if you do you own slide show using the timeline and the Transitions in the Transition room.

You can also change the speed of the video in Power tools. Make the time of display longer or shorter. That only works for the whole slide show.

Not really, you need to produce the slideshow first and then import the produced video back into PD and then you can change the speed, that has been a common complaint from many users. Several releases ago of PD you could easily change the duration of the slideshow just by dragging, those days have been gone for awhile, heck we can't even drag a pic to increase the duration now.

Here is a link to a tutorial of how to do what Jeff suggested....but his explanation said it all perfectly.....but if you prefer moving images to tell the story......I did this video awhile ago for PD8, but the steps are the same for PD9.
