I was very pleased with the results until I noticed that one of the slides had been replaced with blackness, as though there were nothing there.
By fiddling around, I discovered that the problem has to do with the sound track. I had the music set to fit the slides, and it repeated right around the place where the slide went missing. If I left out the music, there was no problem.
I'm attaching a pile of images to show my point. The slideshow should have "Jean" between "Jane" and "Jennifer" in every case, but you can see it disappear from the slideshow (before producing).
In "Before_slide_show" you can see that "Jean" is definitely there, between "Jane" and "Jennifer."
"Modify_screen_with_music" shows the modify screen in the slideshow process, and you can see that Jean is clearly there, between Jane and Jennifer. Although I specified a music track, everything looks okay here; but if I preview the slide show, Jean is missing.
"bad_timeline" shows the result of finishing the slideshow. This is just to illustrate that the music track ends and restarts shortly after Jane. As best I can tell, it actually does that at the end of where the "Jean" clip should be (which is also where the "Jennifer" clip begins).
More in the next message.
