Hello all,

I recently purchased Christmas Carol Triple Play BD that has three discs containing 2D film, 3D film and digital copy. The 2D BD plays fine with PDVD 9.5 but the 3D version of the film starts to load and stops at 98%.

Does anyone have the 3D version of this film ? Does it work with PDVD 9.5 or PDVD 10.0 ?

Thanks.

Hello Cyberlink-Michael,

Thank you for your reply. Additional details are below

PDVD 9 v 9.0.3106.52
SR# MES100401-01
Windows 7 Professional 32bit
Always runs under admin
Software bundled with Sony BDRW (although I have purchased 9.0 previously)
ATI 5670 with 1Gb RAM
Output is via HDMI to Onkyo Amp (will try direct to TV)
Single display, Samsung UE40C8000 TV
MS Security Essentials
DXDIAG attached

To recap the blu ray is recognised, starts to load and stops around 98%. Any advice is gratefully received.

Thanks.

works well with Power DVD 10 II. useimg .iso file.
Used AnyDVD to make .iso, DVDFab was only 2D, or failed to start.

Thanks Media-bug1, I guess it's just me or PDVD 9.5. I'm reluctant to upgrade to PDVD 10 as I forked out a fair bit on a new BD drive that is advertised as 3D !

To answer my own question ...

... downloaded TMT5 for trial purposes, the Christmas Carol 3D BD played fine but film stuttered and 3D was ropey.

Ran Cyberlink 3D BD advisor ... all passed bar my Onkyo AV Amp (TX-SR705).

Wired my HTPC directly to my 3D TV and ... PDVD 9.5 loaded the disc and started to play but 3D was ropey and lots of stuttering.

Updated my ATI graphics drivers from 10.11 to 10.12, still ropey 3D playback.

Downloaded PDVD Ultra mk2 3D, connected HTPC direct to the TV and hey presto, 3D Christmas Carol.

Hope this helps someone else.
