PD9 - Any 64-bit AVI codecs that users can install?

Hi

I like using the AVI wrapper but with the latest 64-bit PD version there are no compressors supplied with the install.

I had been using the DivX codec with PD8 problem-free but DivX compression is not a requirement (although consistency in my files would be nice).

The OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, running successfully in admin mode to avoid some of the older software incompatibilities.

Thanks for any info...

Well, not the answer I was hoping for.

Can PD8 and PD9 both be installed and functional in the same computer (using one or the other at any instance)?

No, at least not easily. Need dual boot system or other similar options.

I have PDR9 installed on my 32 bit laptop, Windows Ultimate and DivX is available, however DivX is not available on my 64 bit desktop. Hopefully CyberLink will correct this issue soon, but not holding my breath at this time.

Hey Gang,
I am brand new to pd9, I am running windows, Vista ultimate(64 bit) on a dell xps - 2.6 dual processor, with 8 gigs of ram.

When ever I drag a video or jpg to the time line and hit the play button, I get the top half to show, but the bottom half is full of multi colored static.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so what can I do to fix this? Thanks PJ PJ

Since the subject is different from the original poster....I think you should post this as a new topic so it won't get mixed up with the other question.
And I would also attach a DxDiag file as well in your new topic....we will need to see some of the information held within it. If you need help getting that put together....just give a shout!

Kevin
