WTF !! PINK FLASHING BOARDER

I'm using PD6 deluxe and find the software cool except when it comes to converting.

I convert from MPEG or AVI to VOB but on preview playing the VOB file, the picture flashes pink where the top and bottom black boarders are ie: (16.9) mode.

I also use Dvdsanta to convert AVI to VOB with no problem what so ever.

I've checked frame rates and TV formats all to no avail.

Anyone come across something bizarre as this?

Regards
Dan

Yes...I had a report (by email) of this recently and I referred it to CyberLink RD section. I will do the same for your posting. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll pass everything onto CyberLink for them to contact you.

I also am having this same problem. I have submitted an email to the support people but was wondering if you were ever able to get this fixed?

I did originally have the trial software loaded but don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Hope everything works well with your's now

Hi Pam,

I have submitted a video clip of the problem to the cyberlink team.
However they require my project, folder & files but I don't have a project I'm working on (saved).

I rip DVD and convert and burn in one hit, I have no projects saved !!

I guess this hasn't answered your question yet!

If you have any saved projects, by all means continue where I have left off so before I continue any further I'll have to create a small project to get you some answers straight away.

Hope you get some answers :

I have this problem as well - for the first time yesterday - converting from an edited vob to mpeg2 in PD6 in 16:9 format. I get a pink flashing border on the left and right side of the video. Was this issue resolved? Any further details appreciated.

Hi Mike,

The answer to your question, NO I didn't the answer I was looking for. The CyberLink team wanted me to send them my project files however, I didn't have a project saved nor created, It was just a standard video clip file converting to VOB. I think I solved the problem myself by downloading the latest XVID ver 1.3 and DIVX codecs.

I no longer use CyberLink for converting, I am using another software that does the job just as well.

Regards
Danny
