I'm a newbie to PD 9 and hope someone may be able to help me, I'm sure there is a simple answer to this!

I've imported a lot of AVI files of old (1970's) super8 movies, added titles, transitions etc. I now want to add a title to a photo I've imported and added to the timeline. I want the title to sit on the photograph. I'm assuming I need to add another layer or some such..

I've got as far as creating a title for the photo but the only options I get to apply it is overwrite or insert..! I think I'm approaching it in the wrong way..

Any help greatly appreciated.

Al

Hi Al,

You can do this by placing the picture on Track #1......then place the title directly below the picture on Track#2. The higher numbered tracks will lay on top of the lower numbered tracks.

I hope this helps.

Hi Al and welcome to the forum.

All you have to do is drag the title onto a video track under the track your photo is on and it will show up on top of your photo. Although if it is one of the full screen titles with photos already in them it will block out your photo.

Cheers
