Greetings,

PD9 Trial Version 9.0.0.0.2316
SN: VDE100914-01
Diagnostics attached

When using PD9(trial), if I click on the import media folder icon and select import media files, PD9 shuts down within 3 seconds. If I select import media folder this does not occur.

I can import the media files by selecting: File/Import/Media files, or by clicking (ctrl)Q.

Test 1:
Click import media folder. Select - Import media files - In about 2-3 seconds PD shuts down. At this point I have not selected a file to import.
Test 2:
Click import media folder. Select - Import media folder - Imports folder contents no problem.
Test 3:
Click File-Import-Media files. Can import files no problem.
Test 4:
Press (crtl)Q Hotkey. Import files no problems.

The first time it happened was just after updating my ATI Video drivers to the 10-11 version. I rolled the drivers back, but the problem persisted. I have reinstalled the 10-11 driver package and associated AVIVO & HDMI audio packages.
ATI Driver packages installed:
10-11_xp32_dd_ccc_ocl.exe
10-11_xp32-64_xcode.exe
10-11_xp32-64_hdmiaudio.exe

Can anyone else replicate this, or see something in my Dixdiag that might be a contributing factor? System specs below.
Thanks for any assistance.

Hal

Hi Hal,

I have never experienced that problem Hal and couldn't replicate it.

Have you tried to uninstall the trial and then reinstalling it? Just to eliminate it as a possibility.

Just an update.

Re-installed operating system (complete install)
Installed PD9 Ultra retail.
Installed latest video drivers and associated AVIVO, HDMI audio.

So far everything appears to be working. Did a couple of test productions this morning. No crashes or unusual performance encountered.
